Karthi की much-awaited spy-action sequel Sardar 2 10 September 2026 को theatres में release हो चुकी है और film को लेकर शुरुआती reviews mixed हैं। Karthi की dual-role performance और action sequences की तारीफ हो रही है, लेकिन screenplay, runtime और second half को लेकर criticism भी सामने आया है।
Sardar 2 की Story क्या है?
Sardar 2 2022 में आई Sardar का sequel है।
Karthi एक बार फिर dual role में नजर आते हैं—Sardar और Viji के रूप में।
Story espionage और एक dangerous bio-chemical weapon के threat के आसपास घूमती है।
Viji एक RAW agent है, जबकि Sardar का past और उसकी spy identity कहानी के centre में रहती है।

Film की सबसे बड़ी strength Karthi हैं।
Critics और शुरुआती viewers ने उनके dual-role performance को काफी appreciate किया है।
Sardar और Viji के personalities में difference दिखाई देता है और Karthi दोनों characters को अलग energy देने में सफल रहते हैं।

SJ Suryah ने भी छोड़ी छाप
SJ Suryah film में important antagonist role में हैं।

India Today ने फिल्म को predictable और overstretched sequel बताया और कहा कि second half में फिल्म generic लगने लगती है।
The Indian Express ने भी माना कि sequel scope में बड़ा है लेकिन original की storytelling और emotional resonance को match नहीं कर पाता।
Times of India ने इसे 2.5/5 rating देते हुए एक serviceable लेकिन hardly nail-biting spy thriller कहा।
वहीं Cinema Express ने भी 2.5/5 rating दी और कहा कि फिल्म entertaining है लेकिन बहुत सारे ideas के कारण emotionally thin हो जाती है।
Sardar 2 Box Office Opening
Film ने opening day पर worldwide करीब ₹6.80 crore gross collect किया, जबकि India net लगभग ₹4.50 crore रहा। Overseas contribution करीब ₹1.50 crore बताया गया है।
हालांकि opening numbers को final verdict मानना जल्दबाजी होगी। Weekend collection यह तय करेगा कि mixed reviews के बावजूद film audience को theatres तक कितना खींच पाती है।

Sardar 2 की सबसे बड़ी strength Karthi की dual performance, spy-thriller setup और कुछ action sequences हैं।
लेकिन लगभग तीन घंटे का runtime, stretched screenplay और uneven second half फिल्म की impact को कम कर देते हैं।
अगर आपको Karthi, spy thrillers और action movies पसंद हैं, तो Sardar 2 एक theatrical option हो सकती है—लेकिन original Sardar जैसी tight storytelling की उम्मीद लेकर जाना शायद disappointment दे सकता है।
