Haiwaan Box Office: Priyadarshan ने Akshay Kumar के साथ Serious Films पर दिया बड़ा बयान, फिल्म की कमाई ₹10 करोड़ के करीब
Akshay Kumar और Saif Ali Khan की crime thriller ‘Haiwaan’ को लेकर अब director Priyadarshan का नया बयान सामने आया है। 11 September 2026 को theatres में रिलीज हुई यह फिल्म Malayalam hit ‘Oppam’ का Hindi remake है, लेकिन theatrical run के दौरान इसे अपेक्षित audience response नहीं मिला। अब Priyadarshan ने फिल्म के box office performance और Bollywood में उनके साथ जुड़ी audience expectations पर खुलकर बात की है।
Reported box-office figures के मुताबिक ‘Haiwaan’ ने India में लगभग ₹9.92 crore net और worldwide करीब ₹15.05–15.08 crore gross का collection किया है। Film का reported budget लगभग ₹130 crore बताया गया है। अलग-अलग trade portals के figures में मामूली अंतर है, इसलिए ये numbers estimates के रूप में देखने चाहिए।
फिल्म के कमजोर theatrical performance के बीच Priyadarshan ने अब अपने future plans और Akshay Kumar के साथ आने वाले projects को लेकर भी संकेत दिया है।
Haiwaan Box Office Collection: ₹10 करोड़ के करीब India Net
‘Haiwaan’ ने 11 September को theatres में शुरुआत की थी। Sacnilk और Koimoi के उपलब्ध आंकड़ों के अनुसार फिल्म ने पहले दिन करीब ₹3 crore India net कमाए और opening weekend में लगभग ₹7.35 crore तक पहुंची। पहले week के अंत तक India net collection करीब ₹9.85 crore रहा। इसके बाद second week में collection काफी कम हो गया।
Koimoi के day-wise data में film का India net collection ₹9.92 crore और worldwide gross लगभग ₹15.05 crore दर्ज है। वहीं Bollywood Hungama की tracking में India total इससे थोड़ा कम, ₹8.714 crore दिखाया गया है। यह अंतर अलग-अलग trade tracking methodologies की वजह से हो सकता है।
Indian Express ने भी report किया कि film worldwide ₹20 crore का आंकड़ा पार नहीं कर सकी, जबकि reported production budget करीब ₹130 crore था।
इस तरह Haiwaan box office collection, Akshay Kumar latest movie और Saif Ali Khan movie जैसे search topics के बीच film का theatrical performance चर्चा में बना हुआ है।
Priyadarshan ने Haiwaan की Failure पर क्या कहा?
Film के performance के बाद director Priyadarshan ने अपने अनुभव और audience expectations पर बात की है। Indian Express की report के अनुसार, filmmaker ने कहा कि Bollywood में उन्हें लंबे समय से comedy filmmaker के रूप में देखा जाता है और audience उनसे humour-oriented films की उम्मीद करती है।
Priyadarshan और Akshay Kumar की partnership का बड़ा हिस्सा comedy films से जुड़ा रहा है। दोनों ने Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyaa और अन्य projects में साथ काम किया है। ‘Haiwaan’ में दोनों ने एक serious crime-thriller space explore किया।
Priyadarshan ने अब संकेत दिया है कि Akshay Kumar के साथ future collaboration में वह comedy की ओर वापस जाएंगे। Times of India की report के अनुसार, director ने कहा कि audience उन्हें और Akshay को non-comedic space में देखने की उतनी मांग नहीं करती और आगे दोनों की फिल्मों में comedy पर focus किया जाएगा।
हालांकि, इसे केवल ‘Haiwaan’ की box-office failure का एकमात्र कारण मानना सही नहीं होगा। यह Priyadarshan का audience expectations को लेकर दिया गया उनका own assessment है।
Haiwaan क्यों नहीं बना Audience के बीच Strong Connection?
‘Haiwaan’ की story एक visually impaired character Shyam के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है, जिसे Saif Ali Khan ने निभाया है। दूसरी तरफ Akshay Kumar ने antagonist Parshuram का role निभाया है। Film में दोनों characters के बीच cat-and-mouse conflict कहानी का प्रमुख हिस्सा है।
Priyadarshan ने खुद 2016 की Malayalam film ‘Oppam’ को direct किया था, जिसमें Mohanlal lead role में थे। ‘Haiwaan’ उसी film का Hindi adaptation है। Original Malayalam film theatrical level पर successful रही थी और reported worldwide collection करीब ₹51 crore बताया गया है।
Hindi remake को लेकर शुरुआत से ही Akshay Kumar और Saif Ali Khan की reunion सबसे बड़ी attractions में से एक थी। दोनों actors करीब 18 साल बाद फिर साथ screen पर आए। इससे पहले दोनों Tashan (2008) में साथ दिखाई दिए थे।
लेकिन reviews में screenplay, pacing और tonal consistency को लेकर mixed observations सामने आए। India Today ने film को 2.5/5 rating देते हुए लिखा कि फिल्म का premise promising था, लेकिन lengthy runtime और uneven execution ने thriller के impact को कम किया।
Cinema Express ने भी film को 2/5 दिया और कहा कि remake original के काफी करीब रहते हुए भी ज्यादा unusual और tonally inconsistent महसूस होती है।
दूसरी ओर NDTV की review ने Saif Ali Khan के performance और film के dark thriller setup को highlight करते हुए इसे 3/5 rating दी। इससे पता चलता है कि critics के बीच film को लेकर response पूरी तरह एक जैसा नहीं था।
Akshay Kumar और Priyadarshan की Comedy Partnership फिर लौटेगी?
‘Haiwaan’ के बाद सबसे बड़ा सवाल अब यही है कि क्या Akshay Kumar और Priyadarshan फिर से comedy film के लिए साथ आएंगे।
Priyadarshan के recent comments इस direction की ओर संकेत करते हैं। Director ने कहा है कि अगर audience उन्हें comedy में देखना चाहती है तो वह उसी space में काम करने को तैयार हैं। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि meaningful और experimental cinema के लिए वह South Indian film industry में projects explore करना चाहते हैं।
यह फैसला दोनों की पुरानी filmography के context में भी interesting है। Akshay Kumar और Priyadarshan की comedy collaborations ने Hindi cinema में strong recall बनाया है। ‘Hera Pheri’ और ‘Garam Masala’ जैसी films आज भी Bollywood comedy discussions में regularly reference की जाती हैं।

Haiwaan Movie Review: Critics ने क्या कहा?
‘Haiwaan’ को लेकर reviews mixed रहे। India Express ने film के weak script और over-the-top treatment पर सवाल उठाए, जबकि India Today ने performances और कुछ humorous moments को acknowledge करते हुए screenplay और pacing को प्रमुख समस्या बताया।
The Quint ने भी film के शुरुआती हिस्से में कुछ engaging moments का उल्लेख किया, लेकिन climax और logic को लेकर criticism किया।
इसलिए Haiwaan movie review को लेकर overall picture यह है कि film का concept, star reunion और original ‘Oppam’ connection audience curiosity पैदा करने में सफल रहे, लेकिन execution को लेकर reviews में महत्वपूर्ण reservations सामने आए।
