The Raja Saab की Failure पर Producer ने क्या कहा?
TG Vishwa Prasad ने ये बातें अपनी upcoming Telugu film Garividi Lakshmi के promotional event के दौरान कहीं। उनसे पूछा गया था कि Prabhas की film The Raja Saab उम्मीदों के मुताबिक perform क्यों नहीं कर पाई। Producer के अनुसार, film की release timing सही नहीं थी और Sankranthi जैसे competitive festive season में इसे release करने का फैसला उल्टा पड़ गया।
The Raja Saab को director Maruthi ने बनाया था। यह एक horror-fantasy comedy थी, जिसमें Prabhas के साथ Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar और Zarina Wahab नजर आए। Film 9 January 2026 को Sankranthi season के दौरान theatres में release हुई थी।
Vishwa Prasad का कहना है कि अगर film किसी दूसरी release window में आती, तो इसकी box-office journey अलग हो सकती थी। हालांकि, यह producer का assessment है; release timing के अलावा film की कहानी, audience reviews, promotion और competition जैसे factors भी किसी movie के performance को प्रभावित कर सकते हैं।

Producer ने केवल release date को ही जिम्मेदार नहीं ठहराया, बल्कि ticket prices बढ़ाने की कोशिश को भी एक गलती माना। उनके मुताबिक, The Raja Saab पहली ऐसी film थी जिसके लिए उन्होंने ticket price hike की कोशिश की थी। उन्होंने स्वीकार किया कि यह फैसला नहीं लेना चाहिए था, क्योंकि इससे release में देरी हुई और fans के बीच frustration बढ़ी।

The Raja Saab के reported budget और box-office performance ने भी film को लेकर काफी चर्चा पैदा की। Hindustan Times की report के अनुसार, film का estimated budget ₹400 crore से ज्यादा बताया गया था, जबकि worldwide gross लगभग ₹208 crore रहा। ये industry reports में बताए गए आंकड़े हैं; इन्हें official audited financial statement नहीं समझना चाहिए।
Box office numbers को समझते समय एक बात ध्यान में रखना जरूरी है: worldwide gross collection और producer की actual earnings एक जैसी नहीं होतीं। Ticket revenue का हिस्सा taxes, theatre owners और distributors के बीच बंटता है। इसके अलावा, film की recovery में distribution agreements, satellite rights, digital streaming rights और अन्य revenue sources की भूमिका भी हो सकती है।
इसीलिए केवल reported gross और budget घटाकर किसी film के exact financial loss का दावा करना सही नहीं होगा। The Raja Saab ने expectations के मुकाबले कमजोर theatrical performance जरूर दी, लेकिन इसके final financial outcome का पूरा हिसाब सार्वजनिक तौर पर उपलब्ध नहीं है।
क्या Prabhas की Star Power भी Film को नहीं बचा पाई?
Prabhas की films से audience को अक्सर बड़े-scale entertainment, action और visual spectacle की उम्मीद रहती है। Baahubali franchise के बाद उनकी pan-India popularity ने उनकी फिल्मों को national-level attention दिलाई है। लेकिन The Raja Saab का response यह दिखाता है कि बड़ी star power और भारी budget अपने आप box-office success की guarantee नहीं होते।

Prabhas के साथ नई Film की भी चर्चा
The Raja Saab के result पर बात करते हुए TG Vishwa Prasad ने Prabhas के साथ भविष्य में एक और project करने की संभावना का भी जिक्र किया। Reports में इस collaboration को 2028 से जोड़ा गया है। हालांकि, किसी नए project के बारे में final confirmation, title, director या release date जैसी details की official announcement के बिना उसे confirmed film schedule नहीं माना जाना चाहिए।
