The Vvaan Movie Review: Interesting कहानी के बावजूद Screenplay बनी बड़ी कमजोरी
Sidharth Malhotra और Tamannaah Bhatia की much-awaited film The Vvaan: Force of the Forest आज, 25 September 2026, theatres में रिलीज़ हो चुकी है। Deepak Kumar Mishra के direction में बनी यह film Indian folklore, supernatural mystery, romance और action को एक साथ लेकर चलने की कोशिश करती है। लेकिन शुरुआती reviews में एक common point सामने आया है—film का premise काफी interesting है, लेकिन messy और uneven screenplay इसकी impact को कम कर देती है।
क्या है The Vvaan की Story?
फिल्म की कहानी Rishi (Sidharth Malhotra) और उसकी पत्नी Mamta (Tamannaah Bhatia) के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है। दोनों Bihar के एक ancestral village Devanchal लौटते हैं, जहां Chhath Puja और family-related matters के बीच Rishi का सामना एक पुरानी local folklore से होता है।
Devanchal में एक mysterious forest है, जहां सूर्यास्त के बाद जाना मना है। Village की मान्यता के अनुसार जंगल में कई सालों से supernatural forces कैद हैं और Van Devi ने गांव को इन शक्तियों से protect करने के लिए एक boundary बनाई थी।
यहां से film का supernatural mystery शुरू होता है।
Rishi पहले इन beliefs को seriously नहीं लेता। वह logic और rational thinking पर भरोसा करता है। लेकिन जब वह जंगल में जाता है और सुरक्षित वापस लौटता है, तो villagers उसे Van Devi से जुड़े एक पुराने legend और lineage से जोड़ने लगते हैं।
यही idea film का सबसे promising हिस्सा है—एक ऐसा इंसान जो faith खो चुका है, अचानक खुद उसी belief system का हिस्सा बन जाता है जिसे वह reject करता था।
Premise में दम है, लेकिन Screenplay कमजोर
The Vvaan की सबसे बड़ी strength इसका Indian folklore-based concept है। Forbidden forest, ancient mythology, Van Devi, supernatural forces और एक grieving couple—इन सभी elements में एक atmospheric folk thriller बनने की potential दिखाई देती है।
लेकिन कई reviews के अनुसार screenplay एक central storyline पर टिके रहने के बजाय लगातार नए ideas introduce करती रहती है।
Bollywood Hungama ने film को 2/5 rating दी और review में interesting premise के बावजूद messy screenplay को बड़ी समस्या बताया।
India Today ने भी लिखा कि film में rich ideas मौजूद हैं, लेकिन crowded plotting और uneven execution उनके impact को कम कर देते हैं।

Sidharth Malhotra की Performance
Sidharth Malhotra film में Rishi का role निभाते हैं—एक ऐसा character जो personal tragedy के बाद supernatural beliefs से दूर हो चुका है।
उनके character की emotional journey potentially film का सबसे मजबूत हिस्सा हो सकती थी। लेकिन screenplay कई बार Rishi और Mamta के relationship तथा उनके emotional pain से focus हटाकर mythology और action की तरफ चली जाती है।
Sidharth अपने character को relatively grounded रखने की कोशिश करते हैं, जिससे supernatural world और उनके rational approach के बीच contrast दिखाई देता है।
Tamannaah Bhatia को मिला Emotional Role
Tamannaah Bhatia Mamta के role में हैं। Character की backstory में pregnancy loss और motherhood की emotional longing शामिल है।
Review के अनुसार Chhath Puja वाले sequences में Tamannaah को character की emotional side दिखाने के लिए बेहतर space मिलता है। उनके character का faith और Rishi का disbelief कहानी में एक interesting emotional contrast create करता है।
यानी film का Chhath और folklore वाला हिस्सा केवल visual spectacle नहीं बल्कि characters की emotional journey से भी जुड़ता है।
Sunil Grover और Supporting Cast
Sunil Grover film में Deepak के character में दिखाई देते हैं। उनका role उनके usual comic image से अलग darker direction में जाता है।
Deepak की storyline आगे चलकर supernatural conflict का बड़ा हिस्सा बनती है। वहीं Anup Soni और Shweta Tiwari भी supporting roles में हैं। Maniesh Paul का character कुछ comic relief provide करता है।
VFX और Supernatural World
Film का scale और supernatural world बड़ा दिखाई देने की कोशिश करता है, लेकिन reviews में VFX को लेकर भी criticism सामने आया है।
India Today के review के अनुसार कई supernatural creatures और effects उस level का visual impact नहीं दे पाते जिसकी film से उम्मीद बनती है।
दूसरी तरफ कुछ early audience reactions ने film के folklore, visuals और supernatural world-building की तारीफ भी की है। Times of India के मुताबिक social media पर कुछ viewers ने इसे visually engaging और unpredictable बताया।
इससे साफ है कि film को लेकर audience reaction पूरी तरह एक जैसा नहीं है।
