Indian film industry के लिए एक major administrative development सामने आया है। Centre ने Central Board of Film Certification यानी CBFC को फिर से reconstitute किया है।

नए 18-member board में Bollywood के कई popular names शामिल हैं, जिनमें Preity Zinta, Pankaj Tripathi, Suniel Shetty, Priyadarshan, Pallavi Joshi, Prosenjit Chatterjee और Ricky Kej जैसे नाम प्रमुख हैं।

New CBFC Board कब बना?

Government ने 16 September 2026 को CBFC के नए panel को notify किया।

New board immediate effect से लागू हुआ है और इसका tenure तीन साल या further orders तक, जो भी पहले हो, रहेगा।

CBFC को इससे पहले August 2017 में reconstitute किया गया था। यानी नया board काफी लंबे gap के बाद आया है।

Bollywood Actors को CBFC में शामिल करने का मतलब?

CBFC का primary responsibility films को public exhibition के लिए certify करना है।

इसलिए board में experienced actors और filmmakers का होना industry के लिए significant development है।

Preity Zinta, Pankaj Tripathi और Suniel Shetty जैसे actors को film industry का practical experience है। Priyadarshan और Neela Madhab Panda जैसे filmmakers filmmaking process और creative concerns को समझते हैं।

यह समझना जरूरी है कि board members बदलने का मतलब CBFC की statutory role बदलना नहीं है।

CBFC अभी भी Cinematograph Act और applicable certification rules के framework के तहत काम करेगा।

New panel primarily उस body के members को बदलता है जो certification process में जिम्मेदारी निभाते हैं।

इसलिए यह कहना जल्दबाजी होगी कि नए board के आने से films को automatically ज्यादा या कम cuts मिलेंगे।

Hindi cinema में हर साल hundreds of films theatrical और public exhibition के लिए certification process से गुजरती हैं।
